Dealing in absolutes was probably the thing that has always driven me away from personal development. I would have started at a younger age otherwise I suppose.

And unable to decide whether my stubbornness or despise of authority, or at least questionable ones for that matter, led to me being curious and questioning everything, I just couldn’t settle for the notion that there is only one way of doing things.

inspiration happens haphazardly

True inspiration may come in many forms. Sometimes it needs a complex set of emotions, sometimes it may require only a glance at something which was created with the utmost of care and sense of aesthetics. In both cases, I urge realizing that it comes haphazardly.

My point being, we are sometimes trying too hard to get inspired, whereas the act of inspiration never requires details at a crisp rate.

unlock your potential

Being a firm believer into the looser-turned-winner narrative and restlessly advocating it over and over, I stay behind the notion that every person can transcend himself in terms of becoming more, achieving more. Our potential is unlimited; it’s only the development part, or lack of it thereof, that makes us prone to evolving or retaining status quo.

What you currently experience in terms of used potential is merely a result of everyday practices that have been going on for quite a while. The progress is then apparent – change those practices and more importantly state of mind, and you will see a very different outcome.

intelligence and success

We live in a world where initiative is the ultimate currency in terms of achieving success. And growing up being told that the smartest one gets to witness the rewards is probably the biggest mistake.

If you observe the average successful person (by what society determines as success) you will come to realize that nine out of ten he scarcely matches the description which aligns with what your belief system is, that the smartest and most intelligent one is the one to go to the top.

detach from the clutter

If we decide to observe backwards on how we go through the process of adopting a passion, an interest, show incentive or just occupy our mind with things ranging from materialistic to interpersonal, we will notice a rather disturbing trend of buildup and then a sudden retrogression.

For the sole purpose of not overwhelming you with broadening the concept, I will rather stick to the material aspect of it. It both serves the analogy perfectly as well as offering a model which, when perfected, can dramatically improve the quality of our lives through the concept of minimizing the clutter which we so often experience.
