For those of you hoping to lose weight and tone their abdomen, I have good news – IM-ABS is designed to send electrical signals to your core without you having to move an inch. It means to sit-ups and no crunches. That being said, you can use this abdominal trainer anywhere you like.
The same goes for the IM-BODY muscle trainer, which is included in the set as well, and designed to fit nicely on most areas of your body.
The setting is cordless, and designed to operate on a single touch, offering up to 15 degrees of force.
The marketing states that you should use the product for about between 6-8 weeks, during which you’ll notice considerable difference. The session requirements are 20 minutes per day, and 5 times per week. With slight changes in diet, and also adding some exercise into your schedule, results can be seen even sooner.
I used the IMATE abdominal trainer for about 4 weeks, and here is what I think about it…
Light, portable, and super easy to use
After doing a small patch skin test 24 hours prior to use (to test for skin allergies), you can start using the IM-ABS or IM-BODY. It sticks comfortably against the skin, with the help of gel pads (which you should change after 20-30 times use).
The pulsating and vibrating sensation is not uncomfortable as I initially have imagined. Some people state that it is more effective when you are tightening your core, but I wanted to see results even without investing extra effort, so I haven’t crunched even once.
The gel pads are made in Japan, and are likely responsible for 30% increase in conductivity (transfer of electrical signal from the device to your muscle).
The fact that it is wireless allows you to start the session within seconds. No need to set up cords and additional equipment. Easy peasy!
My waist measurements, after roughly 4 weeks of use, went down by 2 inches. And I have to note that no changes in diet or exercise were being made. By belly feels tighter, and looks toned.
I wasn’t really comfortable with the fact that I have to use the device day after day, but I guess it beats working out by a huge margin. Not that the pulsing sensation is uncomfortable, but you do have to mind eating schedule and not practice the sessions right after having a meal.
In short, the IMATE abdomen trainer does the job.
Cautionary statements to consider
There is a cautionary statement to not use the IMATE if pregnant or planning to get pregnant, before consulting with your doctor. You should also avoid using it while driving or operating any machines.
Additionally, the abdominal trainer is not suitable for those who have medical implants installed.
