Original copper artwork (36in. W x 48in. H x 2in. D) – Oxidized copper on wood panel. Epoxy-resin finish. “Living, Breathing Landscapes” is a continuation of one of Colangelo’s favourite series. The title suggests a metaphor for the mind – always changing, adapting, and reacting. There is no paint involved in Colangelo’s process – only the oxidation of copper through heat or chemical means. This contemporary art piece has been sealed with a thick coat of epoxy-resin which adds a glass-like finish and protects the copper from any further oxidization.
