Walker, the first non-astronaut in space, is also pictured but did not sign. Discovery 41-D was launched on August 30, 1984 and returned September 5th. HARTSFIELD was Commander, COATS was Pilot and MULLANE, HAWLEY and RESNIK were Mission Specialists. This was Judy Resnik’s first flight. Her next flight was aboard Challenger on January 28, 1986. Resnik and her six colleagues perished 73 seconds after liftoff when Challenger exploded. Minor surface crease (not evident head on) at upper right background.
